For site owners
HorologyRadar is a search engine for pre-owned watch listings. If you run a forum, subreddit, or marketplace with a for-sale section, this page says exactly what we do with it, how to recognise us, and how to stop us. What we index
- Only public for-sale, for-trade, and want-to-buy sections. Never private messages, member lists, profiles, or anything behind a login.
- We read your published RSS or Atom feed where one exists, and fetch the individual listing page only for new items, at your robots.txt crawl delay or slower.
- Marketplaces and dealers are indexed only through an official API, an affiliate product feed, or a written agreement. We do not crawl sites whose terms forbid it.
What we show
- The listing title, the asking price as the seller wrote it, a reduced-size thumbnail, the seller's handle and post count on your site, the posting time, and your site's name.
- A link to the original thread. Every listing links back. The buyer contacts the seller on your site, and the transaction happens there.
- The listing text is shown with attribution to your site and the seller, and is removed when the source post is deleted.
We do not host transactions, do not accept listings from sellers directly, and do not rehost full-resolution images.
How to recognise us
Every request identifies itself with this User-Agent and a working contact address:

We honour robots.txt, including Crawl-delay, and re-read it daily. We send conditional requests where your server supports them, back off on errors, and stop automatically after repeated failures.
How to opt out
Any one of these works:
- Add a rule for our User-Agent to your
robots.txt:User-agent: HorologyRadar Disallow: /
We pick it up within 24 hours and remove your listings within 24 hours after that. - Email dmitri@vegalending.com. We confirm within two business days and remove everything from your site.
Removing a single listing
Sellers and site owners can ask for any listing to be removed by email. Deleted source posts are removed automatically within 24 hours. Listings marked sold stay visible as sold, with the price, unless you ask otherwise.
Consent and agreements
Where a site's terms ask for written consent before indexing, we ask for it before we start, and we are happy to sign a short agreement or adjust what we show. We would rather have a conversation than a complaint.
